One of the most famous parts of Santa Teresa, the bonde, or tram, is an iconic trip. It runs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tram circulates every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 20 reais (approximately $4), which includes the trip up and back down. Please note that the tram is not wheelchair accessible.
