From its 12 meter wingspan and 8 meters long the quetzalcoatlus is one of the largest known pterosaurs. Disappeared 66 million years ago, it had a relatively elongated neck and a beak that can measure up to 2 meters long! Its large wings allowed it to use updrafts to hover but also to move on land.

From the ManufacturerThe Pteranodon is one of the best known pterosaurs. This flying reptile lived on earth during the upper Cretaceous period, 70 million years ago. Measuring 7 to 9 m, it moved around by gliding above the oceans to hunt fish in the same way our present-day pelicans do. Its jaw had no teeth, which seems to indicate that this excellent fishing predator swallowed the fish whole.
