This valve prevents air flow from bleeding back into the compressor cylinder head where it can "leak" back through the head.
Extreme Outback One-Way Check Valve Model #73680 Check Valve This is a high temperature check valve that only allows air to flow one-way. There is an arrow stamped into the fitting showing the direction of flow. This check valve prevents air from bleeding back into the compressor cylinder head. If compressed air leaks back into the cylinder head it can leak out through the head. Normally installs into the air tank from compressor out line or in the head of the air compressor, just before the hose connection that heads toward the air tank. 1/4 male pipe thread on both ends. Pressure rating: 250psi Temperature rating: 350 degrees F Flow rating: 9 cubic feet per minute
