Description
A blend of rhums aged three to fourteen years in used whiskey and bourbon barrels. Notes of fig, prune, cinnamon and nutmeg dominate the palate.
The grassy notes in the aroma permeate this clear rhum agricole from the initial taste through the finish. Earthy undertones in the initial taste are reinforced through the body and into the fresh cut sugar cane finish.Although completely clear in the glass, the aroma on this rhum agricole makes its presence known as soon as you pour a bit. A classic agricole nose, grassy with enticing elements of honey. Just nosing this is a pleasure.

La Favorite - Rhum Agricole Vieux (1L)
The La Favorite distillery, built in 1842, originally employed a water wheel to power the cane-crushing mills, the first step in sugar production. At that time, the estate included two sugar refineries and a small rum distillery with five fermentation vats, a small boiler and copper pot still. Bankruptcy in 1875, followed by the hurricane of 1891 closed the estate until 1909 when Henri Dormoy purchased the property.
