Crok Boards are handmade in our Bristol studio using a unique wooden, wheel, frame design with high grade plywood playing surface. Each board is cut from a single sheet of plywood allowing us to align the playing surface with the outer gutter so the grain pattern remains continuous across the whole board. The majority of our boards are made using birch faced plywood (pictured) but we can also make them using cherry and even oak so be sure to get in touch if you

Each board is cut from a single sheet of plywood allowing us to align the playing surface with the outer gutter so the grain pattern remains continuous across the whole board. The majority of our boards are made using birch faced plywood (pictured) but we can also make them using cherry and even oak so be sure to get in touch if you'd like to see some alternative woods. Each board comes complete with four sets of playing counters and the Crok rule booklet, all neatly stored within the Crok-box, our unique triangular storage box that fits snuggly into the wooded frame underneath the board. We take time to carefully chose plywoods with the nicest, most interesting grain patterns, making these boards beautiful to look at as well as a treat to play on. Because they look so nice they even come with a fixing so you can hang them on the wall while not in use. Finished boards measure 77cm in diameter. For those who've not played it before, Crokinole is a traditional Canadian board game which involves disk-flicking dexterity. It is similar to carrom, and pichenotte. The exact rules appear to vary depending on where you're playing so we have developed a simple set of Crok rules to make it as simple and straightforward as possible (although you can obviously play to whatever rules you know). A great game for people of all ages.
