The way the frosted bulbs and shrouds work to defuse and direct the light means that these won't be too harsh, even with their super high lumen output. 5000K is what we've landed on as the perfect temperature for a garage working environment for detailing and mechanic work. We like to set these up in a 3x3 pattern and have the lights parallel to the garage doors. If you want to get creative with your layout, feel free. Just be sure to place your lights in such a way that you get even coverage throughout. That's the key here. These lights are really easy to install, and since they have low amperage draw, they can be installed on one switch if you want.
